Taylor Reservoir to Crested Butte Motorcycle Ride July 5-6,2008 : I woke up early on the 5th of July and rode my motorcycle about 3 hours to Taylor Reservoir. I met my boy Mike C. who was camped there. We then rode from Taylor Res. to Crested Butte via dirt trails. He was on a much smaller, nimbler bike than me (not to mention he's a pretty good rider as well) so I spent most of the time trying to keep up with him. we made it to Crested Butte after what I thought was an awesome ride. Once there we camped out with some other buddies that we know. I was reminded of just how awesome a place Crested Butte is. It is just absolutely beautiful. Then we woke up Sunday morning, shook off the hangover from the festivities the night before, and headed back over to Taylor via a little different route. This was my first experience with the KLR on single track. It was definitely challenging ... but I made it out alive and unscathed. I had an absolute blast every minute of the way. On the way back to Denver, I got drenched coming over Cottonwood pass and hit with some hail. The traffic on HWY 285 was just terrible, so it took me quite a bit longer to get home. But, you still won't hear any complaining from me. That's what makes it an adventure, right? All in all just an awesome, awesome weekend.

First Annual WSCI Motorcycle and Jeep Jamboree in Buena Vista July 20-22, 2007 : Here's some pics from another great weekend in the mountains here in Colorado. Some of the fellas here at Western Summit put together a little weekend that consisted of a lot of camping, beer-drinking, motorcycling, 4-wheeling, and fishing. Of course, it also couldn't be called a complete man-trip if we didn't have at least on person accidentally light themself on fire(no pics unfortunately). 8 guys showed up for the event and I think I can safely say everyone had a great time. During the day we all broke out and did our own things and then met back at the camp at night. We had 3 guys on dual-sport/off-road motorcycles, 2 guys on sport bikes, 2 guys in a Jeep, and one fisherman. This was some of the most beautiful country I have ever seen and I had just a great time getting my motorcycle up onto some of these high mountain passes. Hopefully this will become an annual event because it was too much fun to do just once. Hope everyone is well and let me know what you think of the pics.
